The design of this lamp is special to me. This is my very first creation. I imagined it for the final project of my cabinet maker training. It was the beginning of this new adventure as a cabinet maker…

This project had two objectives: to use the bending technique and imagine a lamp with a simple and clean design.

Bending wood is a quite difficult and long process. But it worth the shot, the result can be surprising and bluffing. This technique that constraints wood to take unusual shapes, allows to create beautiful curves.

This has been created by the search of sensual round curves and the will of making a lamp.

And after several trials, by assembling 3 thin blades of walnut and caring a rabbet inside for the light, the result is as nice as it was in my mind.

This lamp, with a bulb shape is made with two beautiful woods : Walnut and Olive ash. Tree bands of led lights are integrated inside, simply hidden by a linen tissue.
